MARKED INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ERADICATION OF POVERTY

Poor are the ones who have neither soul nor feeling for those who have less then them - this is the one of the messages on posters with which BHWI Foundation in cooperation with UNHCR, is marking International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
It is our intention to appeal for solidarity with all in need of support. Marking the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty established by the decision of the United Nation Assembly in 1992, and in remembrance of the Benedict XVI and his appeal for solidarity with the excluded and homeless, BHWI's this year 7-day activities are dedicated to refugees and asylum seekers.
We recall that, since its establishment, BHWI Foundation works with people subject to different forms of exclusion, who are in need of support in different areas, such as literacy, education, employment and self-employment and other that would lead to their integration into community.
Yet, the number of the poor, in the country in which fight against poverty shows no progress, is getting bigger by day. The care of the community for the poor is so scarce and more often non existent.
We appeal to all to express their solidarity and help fellow citizens who live around us.
